Advanced audio middleware for game development |
London, UK - March 12th 2002 - Sensaura Limited today announced the launch of GameCODA, the first true cross platform audio middleware solution, which enables game development studios to integrate specialist audio features seamlessly into their new titles. GameCODA will be launched at the Game Developers Conference, San Jose (USA) next week (21st March). GameCODA is a scalable and modular product that enables the incorporation of audio effects, such as, 3D sound, environmental reverb, streaming, pitch shifting and scalable voice channels. All these features are accessible at high and low levels, the level being determined by the developer. GameCODA is also fully compatible with leading middleware providers. GameCODA will be available for all of the major console platforms including Xbox, PlayStation®2 and Nintendo GameCube, as well as the PC. This cross platform functionality reduces development time significantly whilst ensuring developers have the same audio quality across all platforms. The functionality and scalability of the GameCODA product is extensive, and we are excited about the feedback we have received from testers of the early versions. Games using GameCODA will have universally excellent audio, across every platform, whilst reducing development time and costs, said Peter Clare, CTO of Sensaura.
